A new payment method is now available to players in the UK who have mobile phones. Players who register for a service being offered by Barclays will be able to send payments using their mobile phone. All they will need to do is register for the service and then they will be able to send and receive money using their mobile device. The service is already available to those who have smartphones and it is expected to be available on almost all types of mobile phones in the future.

The free app that makes all of this possible is available from Barclays. It is called Pingit and makes it so UK adults can transfer money regardless of which bank they use. Barclays said that they got 120,000 downloads of the new app in the first five days since its debut. The app is available for the iphone, Android and Blackberry.

The ability to send and receive money using a mobile device is not a new idea but the Barclays app takes it to another level. The UK market is huge for online gambling and having another way to send and receive money is great for players.
